Trans fats - trans fats are made through the chemical process of hydrogenation of oils in order to
increase the shelf life. Such oils create inflammation, which is linked to heart disease, diabetes, stroke,
and some other chronic conditions. Simply a big no-no! By the way, zero grams for trans-fats at a nutrition
label does not necessarily mean that a product is trans-fats-free: if a serving contains less than 0.5 grams
of trans-fats a producer can write it has 0 grams of trans-fats. Hmmmm…..
